Biography
Dr. Chiara Mariti is a researcher at the University of Pisa (Italy), where she focuses most of her research on pets behaviour and welfare, and on anthrozoology. She graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 2003, disserting a thesis on dog-man communication. She also graduated in Dog Training and Breeding in 2009, with a thesis on dog attachment towards man. She has a Master in Veterinary Behavioural Medicine and a Ph.D. on horse behaviour. She has published papers and spoke at international congresses on canine, feline and equine behaviour and welfare.
