Biography
Dr. Blake Watterworth is currently chief resident of Anesthesiology at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, USA. He previously completed his undergraduate education at Tulane University in New Orleans, and medical degree at Temple University in Philadelphia, USA. He is currently pursuing a fellowship position in Pain Medicine.
His research activity ranges from minimally invasive surgery to cardiothoracic anesthesiology, however his main interests lie in chronic and neuropathic pain syndromes. He has given several oral presentations and authored multiple posters to date. He has a special interest in Patient Safety and Quality Improvement, holding several active positions on institutional committees and certification with the Institute of Healthcare Improvement. Dr. Watterworth is currently a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, and the American Medical Association.
