Biography

Dr. Argyrios Giannopoulos is Honorary Consultant in Vascular Surgery Northwick Park Hospital, London, UK and Honorary Associate Specialist in Vascular Surgery University College of London Hospital. He is currently involved in his PhD research project regarding vulnerable carotid plaque, as a Vascular Research Fellow. He passed CCST exams in Greece in Vascular Surgery and completed a six months endovascular fellowship programme at University College London Hospital.

He attended many courses like CAS and EVAR, Carotid artery stenting, Advanced Trauma Life Support Course and BLS. He had many publications regarding Long-term Mortality in Patients with Asymptomatic Carotid Stenosis, Fondaparinux for the Treatment of Superficial-Vein Thrombosis in the Legs and matched pair analysis. He is member of the Board of Hellenic Society of Angiology.
