Biography

Dr. Tuyen Kha is a lecturer and head of Department of Food Product Development, Nong Lam University, Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. He received MPhil and PhD degrees in Food Science from the University of Newcastle, Australia.

He has published 18 papers in international peer-reviewed journals, 1 book chapter, and participated in various national and international conferences, seminars and workshops. He is currently consulting for several food companies in Viet Nam and is active in national and international collaborations on food research.

Dr Kha received the following honors and awards during academic and professional career, including: (1) The Research Higher Degree Scholarship granted by the University of Newcastle, Australia; (2) The Best Poster Presentation Awards granted by the Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology at the 45th Annual AIFST Convention and the 47th Annual AIFST Convention; (3) Outstanding Postgraduate (Research) Student Achievement Award granted by the Faculty of Science and Information Technology, the University of Newcastle; (4) The 1st Best Poster Presentation Award granted by International Conference on Food and Biosystems Engineering, Skiathos, Greece; (5) several travel grants for attending International Conferences; and (6) Australian Development Scholarship for Master by Research.
