Biography
Dr. Mayakrishnan Gopiraman is currently working as Special Assistant Professor in Division of Frontier Fibers, Interdisciplinary Cluster of Cutting Edge Research, Japan. Earlier, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Interdisciplinary Cluster of Cutting Edge Research, Japan. He completed Ph.D. from Shinshu University, Japan.
Dr. Mayakrishnan Gopiraman has more than 45 publications in reputed journals, 5 international patents and contributed book chapters as well. His work is mainly focused on the development of transition metals-based heterogeneous nanocatalysts for highly efficient organic transformations. Carbon materials such as graphene, carbon nanotubes and carbon nanofibers as support materials are his main focus. At present, he is actively working on the development of 2D and 3D-activated carbons from biomass for energy storage systems. Part of his research work is focused in the biomedical aspect; briefly, fabrication of inorganic and organic bioactive materials for drug delivery systems, bon regeneration and antibacterial properties. He served as a Technical Program Committee Member of 4th International Multi Topic Conference and received Best Oral Presentation Award of "The 4th International Symposium on for High-tech Fiber engineering of young researches".
