Biography
Dr. Bruno A Marichal Cancino has held positions as a teacher and scientist in different Universities in Mexico City. He holds his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Neuropharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics from CINVESTAV-I.P.N., Mexico.
He has been working with prestigious researchers mainly in the field of Pharmacology and Physiology. His research analyses the effects of several systems of neural control (e.g., monoamine neurotransmitters, endocannabinoids, opioids, etc.) on the central and periphery nervous system. He also belongs to the National System of Researchers.
Research Interest
The endocannabinoid system.
Mechanisms of neural control and its relationship with processes as learning and memory sleep induction, food intake, cardiovascular control, basal ganglia, cancer, etc.
Advances in the therapeutics of Parkinson’s disease, Advances in the therapeutics of Alzheimer’s disease, Neurosciences.
Mechanisms of pain control and induction of Anesthesia.
