Biography
Sandra Xavier received her Ph.D. in Nursing from the University of Lisbon, Portugal. Previously received an M.Sc. in Communication in Health, Specialization in Community Health, a B.Sc. in Nursing, a B.Sc. in Community Mental Health, a Postgraduate Diploma in Community Nursing, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management in Nursing.
Dr. Xavier is the author of several books’ chapter and scientific articles in indexed journals. She serves as a reviewer of scientific and technical articles in indexed journals. She is also a recognized speaker at various national and international meetings. She was a member of academic juries for the attribution of the degrees of master and bachelor in science. She was the advisor to the master's thesis, project work, and a professional internship advisor. She was/is a member of numerous management bodies including the Director of the Health Department of the Polytechnic Institute of Beja (IPBeja), Portugal, Member of the Editorial Board of IPBeja, and Member of the Coordinating Council of the Academic Activity of IPBeja. She was a member of several Scientific Commissions of various scientific meetings.
