Biography
Dr. Cigdem Yucel is currently working as a lecturer at the Faculty of Nursing, Hacettepe University in Turkey. She worked at University of Michigan School of Nursing as a visiting scholar in 2011 and 2012 to work on her dissertation titled "Adaptation of the Optimality Index-United States (US) for the Evaluation of Perinatal Outcomes to Turkish". She got her Ph.D. degree in OBGYN Nursing from Hacettepe University Institute of Health Sciences in 2012.
Dr. Yucel was the recipient of the International Postdoctoral Fellowship in Nursing for 2013 sponsored jointly by International Network for Doctoral Education in Nursing (INDEN) and Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI). Her fellowship aim was to explore interprofessional simulation training in maternity and newborn care. During her fellowship, she worked at the University of Queensland School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work for 3 months.
