Professor Jonathan Dantas Pessoa has a degree in law, with a specialization in civil law and civil procedure, criminology, and forensic criminal psychology, and a master's degree in criminal psychology with a specialization in forensic psychology.
Professor Jonathan Dantas Pessoa has been working as a criminal investigator for the Civil Police of Pernambuco for fifteen years, being the same specialist in police interviews and management of criminal investigations. He is professor and president of the criminology commission of the Brazilian Academy of Criminal Sciences ABCCRIM, member of the Academy of Arts, Sciences and Literature of Brazil -Alcibrás occupying chair number 644.
Professor Jonathan Dantas Pessoa develops research in the area of Criminology, criminal psychology, criminal investigation and psychology of testimony, being part of the Center of Criminology Research - University South Walles as an international researcher, as well as carrying out research with the Teaching, Training and Research Laboratory in Cognition and Justice Cogjus as a collaborating researcher currently developing protocols for carrying out recognition of people in criminal investigations. He is an editorial advisor for the International Journal Forensic Sciences, and has published several articles on forensic sciences for the websites Jusbrasil and Jus.
