Biography: Dr. Carla Lucini, PhD in Comparative Morphology of Domestic Animals is associate professor of Cytology and Histology at the Department of Veterinary Medicine of University of Naples “Federico II”. Her research interests regard Veterinary Anatomy, particularly the two following topics: 1) regulatory peptides and neurotrophic factors in the gastrointestinal neuroendocrine system of vertebrates during pre- and post-natal development; 2) neurotrophic factors (neurotrophins, GDNF family) in the brain of adult teleost fish and their involvement in neurogenesis and regeneration.
