Biography
Dr. Laura D. URDES is currently working as an assistant Professor at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, Romania. She is a Ph.D, BSc in Veterinary Medicine, and studied for her PgDip with the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, U.K.
She is the editor-in-charge of the WAVMA e-News and a member of the editorial Board of The Aquatic Veterinarian. She teaches fish pathophysiology and diseases in fish, livestock and game animals, and sanitary-veterinary techniques.
She is also a certified aquatic veterinarian through the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association CertAqV programme.
Research Interest
Study of various parasite populations within the Danube Delta area.
Host-parasite relationship of Eustrongylides spp infestations in fin fish.
