ABSTRACT
Acute myocardial ischemia can cause ventricular tachycardia in patients with structurally normal heart. We are reporting a 64 year old male with an old history of anterior myocardial infarction who was admitted with intractable ventricular tachycardia that was controlled only after balloon angioplasty of a right coronary artery lesion and which recurred four months later concomitantly with restenosis. No recurrence of ventricular tachycardia was observed up to seven years after coronary stenting. The role of an appropriate myocardial revascularization in the electrical stability after myocardial infarction is emphasized.
