Dr. Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, School of Medicine, University of Pittsburg. Currently, Dr. Li is the director of Musculoskeletal Growth & Regeneration Lab (MGRL) in the Department of Orthopedics Surgery, University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Liís research is focused on the musculoskeletal diseases and regenerative medicine. He received two residency trainings both in thoracic and orthopedics surgeries. He also has one masterís degree which mainly focused on the cell and molecular biology and methodology. Dr. Li received his postdoctoral training in Stem Cell Research Center (under Dr. Johnny Huard).

Dr. Li published 30+ peer reviewed original articles, 2 book chapters, along with a number of podium and poster presentations in scientific meetings related to Orthopaedic. He also received several national and local awards and serve as regular reviewers in many scientific journals.
